Colonial Antigua

Architecture, markets & street life

Acatenango Volcano

Overnight hike & erupting Fuego views

Trek through cloud forest to base camp as the neighboring Fuego Volcano erupts across the valley. Sleep in rustic mountain cabins, then wake before sunrise to watch the sky turn gold above the clouds. One of the most dramatic experiences in all of Central America.

βœ“ Overnight hike & cabins included
Days

Lake AtitlΓ‘n

Mayan villages & volcano sunsets

One of the world's most beautiful lakes, ringed by three volcanoes and dotted with indigenous Mayan villages. We'll take water taxis to San Juan la Laguna and San Antonio PalopΓ³, meet local artisans, and watch the sun set behind the volcanoes from the lake's edge.

El Paredon, Pacific Coast

Surf, mangroves & black sand beaches

End the journey on the Pacific coast β€” a laid-back surf village with black sand beaches, sea turtle nesting sites, and some of the best sunsets in Central America. Try surfing, explore the mangroves by boat, and close out the trip with a farewell dinner on the beach.

Everything you need to know
Do I need to know anything about photography? +
Not at all. You're the subject β€” Arturo handles the camera. If you'd like to pick up a few tips along the way, he's always happy to share.
Is the Acatenango hike mandatory? +
It's the highlight of the trip and highly recommended. If fitness or altitude is a concern, reach out before booking and we'll talk through your options.
What will I receive at the end of the trip? +
A private online gallery of fully edited, high-resolution photos from your journey β€” delivered within 3 weeks. Yours to download, print, and share however you like.
How many people will be in my group? +
A maximum of 10 travelers per departure. This is intentional β€” it keeps the experience intimate, personal, and unhurried.
Is Guatemala safe to travel? +
The areas we visit β€” Antigua, Lake AtitlΓ‘n, and El Paredon β€” are well-traveled and considered safe for tourists. Arturo is a local and will brief the group on Day 1.
Can I extend my trip after the tour? +
Absolutely. We'll help arrange onward shuttles anywhere in Guatemala. Many guests add extra days in Antigua or travel on to Flores and Tikal.
